A simple practice of gratitude

Gratitude changes the lens with which we view the world. Which of course transforms everything – because it’s all about perspective right?

My gratitude practice is simple – I name 3 things every night that I’m grateful for. Out loud to myself, shared with my boyfriend, or written down – whatever I feel like in the moment. If I forget, I do it when I wake up in the morning.

1-2 minutes. Deceptively powerful.

I love to include an everyday miracle – one of those things that we take for granted but if we stop to think about, is actually outrageously amazing. Like being able to turn on a tap and get clean running water. Or our hearts beating 60+ times per minute unaided all day every day.

Today I’m feeling grateful for blue skies, my healthy body and a lazy Sunday morning in bed with a cup of rooibos tea.
